2026 Biathlon details

Additional details

• Biathlon is a team event with 3 members per team. The event will be timed just like a real biathlon, but you’ll wear your favorite sneakers instead of skis
• The race is a relay. Each team member will run, walk, or jog approximately 100 yards, get into the prone position and fire at 5 targets. After firing, they will get up and travel approximately 100 yards and tag the next member of their team. Teams rotates through the relay twice and will fire at a total of 10 targets per person. Each missed target results in a 10 second time penalty which will be added to the team’s time total. How fast you walk, run or jog is all part of the strategy as multiple misses on the targets can quickly add up into additional minutes for your team. 
• The top teams will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze based on the shortest time.  Bring your skill and strategy and see if you can take home bragging rights to the STC Biathlon tournament
